Building a place to call home

Living on a new build development may require a bit more patience and resilience than moving to an established community.

There are lots of existing services and amenities close by but there are plans for new facilities within the development, these are likely to include:-

  • Public Open Space
  • Local equipped play areas
  • A larger neighbourhood play area
  • Public art
  • Recreation/conservation area
  • Ball Games area

Creating thriving communities

We offer lots of different services to help you and your community grow.

Money and Digital

Our Money and Digital team works with specialist partners to help residents tackle financial insecurity or overcome barriers to getting online:

  • If residents are finding it hard to pay for fuel, they can speak to one of our frontline officers about receiving a voucher towards it.
  • For those affected by a change in circumstance, we can talk to them about funding towards furniture and household costs.
  • Our partnership with Pocket Power provides support around saving money on utility bills
  • Residents working with our frontline officers or Money and Digital team can request a grant to cover the costs of new digital equipment or accessing the internet.
  • They can also apply for funding to pay for a white good, such as a fridge or oven.
  • We provide independent money and debt advice through our Money advice partners

Customer engagement

Our Customer Engagement team works with residents to co-create and review services, getting their views on housing issues, policies and more, to influence changes inside and outside of Sovereign.

They do this online, in person, on the phone, via email… whatever works best for the resident involved!

Our Youth Panel also works with our Communities team to make sure that we hear the views and needs of our younger residents (18-25 years old), to influence our strategies and services
