How to replace your thermostat batteries

What type of thermostat do you have?
Battery replacement (all models)
When the batteries are getting low (approx. 30 days battery life remaining) the battery symbol will flash in the display, it is recommended to change the batteries during this period.
After approx. 30 days, a continuous battery symbol only will be shown in the display and the unit will remain OFF.
How to replace the batteries
Remove the battery compartment
Remove the battery compartment by pinching the tabs and withdrawing downwards.
Replace the spent batteries with 2 x AA 1.5V alkaline batteries ensuring correct orientation.
Replace the battery compartment pressing fully home.
How do I know when to change the batteries?
When the batteries start to run low a battery icon will flash in the display, to indicate “low battery” during this time the Digistat +1RF will function normally.
Please replace batteries with 2 x 1.5V IEC LR6 (AA) Alkaline batteries.
When the battery icon alone is shown in the display, the batteries are completely exhausted and the Digistat +1RF will cease to function. Reactivate by replacing the batteries.
How to replace the batteries
Remove the battery cover using a coin.
Replace the spent batteries with 2 x 1.5v IEC LR6 (AA) Alkaline batteries ensuring correct orientation.
Replace the battery cover pressing fully home.
To replace the batteries
Locate a flat bladed screwdriver into the slots in the transmitter base plate [B].
Twist to lift the transmitter [A] away from the base plate [B].
Remove existing batteries and dispose of an environmentally friendly manner.
Replace batteries with the same type and ensure that the batteries are correctly orientated in the battery compartment [F] of the transmitter [A].
Align outer edge and internal lugs of the transmitter to the base plate [B] and push fit to secure.
Open the sliding panel, press and release the reset button [C] to start normal operation.
The receiver will revert back to normal operation after the transmitter batteries are successfully replaced.
If under normal operation the battery low symbol appears, then the batteries require replacing within 60 days or the programmed settings will be lost.
Replace the batteries with the same type: AAA 1.5V Alkaline.
Battery access
To remove the Room thermostat from the wall mounting plate:
- Insert a suitable flat bladed screwdriver into the slot on the bottom edge of the device.
- Twist the screwdriver gently until the bottom catches are released.
- Separate the device from the wall plate.
Battery replacement
*Ensure the batteries are correctly orientated, positive (+) battery terminal to the positive (+) battery holder terminal.
Replace the spent batteries with new ones of the same type, ensuring that they are installed in the correct orientation.
Insert the batteries, ensuring the positive + end of the battery is inserted into the positive + terminal of the holder.
Fit the front cover to the wall plate, locating the catches on the top edge and then snap the bottom edge into place.
If under normal operation the battery low symbol appears, the batteries require replacing within 60 days or the programmed settings will be lost.
Replace the batteries with the same type: LR6/AA 1.5V alkaline.

To remove the room thermostat from the wall mounting plate:
- Insert a suitable flat bladed screwdriver into the slot on the bottom edge of the device.
- Twist the screwdriver gently until the bottom catches are released.
- Separate the Programmable room thermostat from its wall plate.
Battery replacement
Replace the spent batteries with new ones of the same type (AA), ensuring that they are installed in the correct orientation.
Insert the batteries ensuring that the positive + end of the battery is inserted into the positive + terminal of the holder.
Fit the Programmable room thermostat to the wall plate, locating the catches [1] on the top edge and then snap the bottom edge into place.
Lift up main flap, pull down battery cover, replace batteries with AA and replace battery cover.
