In the meantime, here are a few ideas for projects that you could apply for funding for:

  • Connect: A weekly social club for people with mental health conditions, a community garden where people can come together to grow food and socialize, or a volunteer programme that matches people with mental health conditions with opportunities to give back to their community.
  • Be active: A walking club for older adults, a yoga class for people with depression, a dance class for people with disabilities or a cycling programme.
  • Take notice: A mindfulness meditation class, a nature walk for people with anxiety, or an art class for people with PTSD.
  • Keep learning: A community education class on mental health, a book club that discusses books about mental health, a language class for people with mental health conditions or awareness campaigns.
  • Give: A mentoring programme for young people with mental health conditions, a donation drive to collect food and clothing for people with mental health conditions, or a community service project to improve the spaces where beneficiaries access counselling or other specialist mental health services.

Alternatively, are you a specialist mental health charity or local provider running key services for our residents? Or do you have a great innovative idea for a project that supports better mental health and wellbeing in our communities ?

If so, we would love to hear from you! We are looking for new partners to collaborate with on large-scale programmes and who are delivering specialist mental health and wellbeing services in our communities.
